Franchise Gallery presents Jacob Rochester’s debut solo painting exhibition: Under Pressure, opening October 22nd. Featuring works amassed over the past year, the exhibition is accompanied by the release of 100+, an EP presented by Franchise Records. 

Under Pressure is a mirror into Rochester’s relationship with the everyday, the otherwise unseen moment, that which inspires his process. Combined snapshots and figurative pieces, placed like photographs, lend a gaze into the artist’s memory box – an amalgamation of portraits of friends, object appreciation, & studio still lifes. Rochester’s creative practice is a swiss knife of mediums, including: his upcoming music release, textiles via aconstruct.co, and various visual works.

100+ EP is a blend of house & UK garage-inspired tracks, laced with R&B vocals, available on all music streaming platforms November 4th. Presented by the eponymous Franchise Records, Rochester’s EP joins an eclectic catalog with releases by Kush Jones, Tomu DJ and Brbko.

The exhibition will be on view from until Nov 12th at Franchise Gallery, with a listening party following in November.
